AYG training

Had AYG training on saturday. It was kind of like the CYA training and F1 training. We learn around the same things. There's role play somemore and my group was reduced from 10 people to 4 people. In the end, Yingqing, Michelle, Felicia and I had to act like some idiots for just less than 5 minutes? I think our role play was the shortest among the groups.

After that, I went to Tampines mrt to meet with a part of Zodiac at 3.30pm. It was supposed to be at 4pm but I messaged Yingying to pass the message to meet at 3.30pm as I predicted the AYG thing will end befpre 3pm. Who knows it dragged till around 3.20pm? Anyway, I was not the last person to arrive. Cedric told me he, Jiahao and Shihan were the earliest. Went to da-boa dinner then proceed to my house.

Set up the Mahjong table then played. However, we switched to Monopoly after a few rounds because only 4 people can play Mahjong? Haha. That was not the reason. I think it was because we were tired of Mahjong. I managed to dig out my 10 years ago Mahjong from the study room. The last time I played Monopoly was during my primary school days?

The funniest part was when Yingying and Cedric's partnership. 'yingying and i(Cedric) established our very own danger zone. so the game dragged super long before vionna sloppily lost and by then, joel was already distracted with his new itouch and dominic was already awake! jiahao was the winner with $30000+. because he monopolized so many landsites!!' (taken from Cedric's blog because I'm lazy to type)

Celebrated Earth Hour and played Monopoly in the dark. Ok la. Not say in the dark. Still can see. After that, talked about having a Zodiac blogshop where a lot of issues were discussed like giving tuition, washing cars, distributing flyers and even birthday party planners!! But I think it dao-bi-ed after a while because one by one of us got distracted by the movie.

Althought there were a few of us during this gathering, it still bonded us together even more. I'm looking forward to the Mega Birthday Bash. Should I be the one planning it?

sick

I'm sick.

My throat is dry and hurts.

I had a terrible splitting headache just now and it's as severe now.

I slept for a whole two hours in the evening and the pain just will not ease.

Luckily there's no fever but my temperature is 35.4 and 35.6 degrees?

I can't sleep now.

Amanda's doing her history mindmap and I'm here slacking.

She's burning midnight oil now.

I'm so bored. I can't sleep when I want to. This headache is terrible. My head's going to explode anytime.

Disappointing results

Received my year 1 semester 2 results this morning. Don't know whether to laugh or cry. One word to describe it. DISAPPOINTING.

Disappointed with results.

Disappointed with myself.

Disappointed that I didn't score for the modules I'm supposed to score.

Disappointed that I scored for the not important modules.

Student ID: 0825650
Name: HONG YI NI VIONNA
---------------------------------
ST513A, Know Your Temperament Blends - 2 credit units - B+
CP4088, Materials in Practice - 4 credit units - A
LC0218, Critical Reasoning Skills - 2 credit units - DIST
SP0201, Character Development - 2 credit units - DIST
CP4008, Applied Electricity & Electronics - 4 credit units - B+
CP4001, Analytical & Physical Chemistry - 4 credit units - C+
CP5034, Chemical Process Principles A - 4 credit units - D+

SEMESTER GPA: 3.1
CUMULATIVE GPA: 3.273

ALLOWED TO CONTINUE IN THE COURSE

I can only comfort myself for not failing any modules at all. I was thinking I will get GPA of 2 only. Is it supposed to be a good thing?

It's quite surprising that my CRS can get distinction when I wrote out of topic for the 3rd CA. Don't know get disctinction for CRS and CD for what. It's kind of useless.

AE & E also surprised me because I thought I will maximum get a B grade only.

It was kind of expected the kind of grades I get for AP chem and CPPA because I screwed up my MST as well as left a lot of blanks in EST. I didn't even know what was I writing in my CPPA paper during EST. I can only thank God I don't have for forward these 2 modules.

NUS open house

I went to NUS open house with zodiac on saturday. I didn't know there was even an open house till Cedric told me. Anyway, met with them at Tampines MRT station at 1.30pm. Yingying was the lastest. She was busy with her choir camp stuffs I guess.

We took the train to Pasir Ris and to Clementi. Tried to not create any leng changs on the train but still failed. Cedric and Shihan were like long lost friends who cannot stop talking and Jiahao was deeply engrossed in his lecture notes. They two can talk from anything under the sun from Biology to Chemistry to comparing pencil cases?

Dropped off at Clementi. Went to the bus stop to take bus 96 I think. We paiseh-ed 2 times there. First was when Cedric said the bus will stop at the back of the bus stop so we went to the back of the bus stop. Then we saw the bus moving forward so we walked to the front. Little did we know that the bus just went off after all the passengers had gotten off. We looked like a bunch of idiots walking here and there. Next was when we waved for he bus which just zoomed pass the bus stop. It was then that we realised that we had to go to the interchange to take.

On the bus 96, Yingying was saying she can't wait to see Cedric botak and doing his famous facial expression. Upon reaching the open house, as usual, we went to take the goodie bags which contains a NUS pencil case which is just nice for Joel and some pamplets. We just went in to the 1st exhibition we saw. It was a CCA exhibition and Yingying was like pulled aside to know about orientation and she pulled Jiahao along.

Then, we proceed to the hall upstairs where all the infomation booths of the faculty are. Yingying went to the Business booth and Joel Engineering. Met Fiona there too. Then Timothy came to join us. My course can only go to either Chemistry or Applied Chemistry in NUS. Hope I can get in though.

Cedric and Shihan went to ask about Social Science and Arts. A funny conversation took place there which I can't really remember but roughly its like this (this happened before Timothy came to join us) :

Cedric: Is it we can only be a social worker after taking Social Science?
Social Science person: No, you can also be a teacher.
Cedric: What kind of teacher?
Shihan: CME teacher.

When they told us this, all of us were like CME teacher? After walking around, Timothy suggested to go eat. All of them ate waffles but I didn't eat because I don't feel like eating. Talked about having Mahjong session, mass birthday celebration and one more thing which I forgotten.

Took a group picture to mark the end of the day:

Clockwise from top left: Myself, Shihan, Jiahao, Cedric, Joel, Timothy and Yingying

enrolment day

Went back to SP today to help out at CYA booth. Did the booth duty with Faddilah.

Guess what!?

I just found out that she's also from Pasir Ris Sec! She asked me what was my previous CCA and then which school. She's from sec 5, Jingyu's class I guess. It was then that I recalled the 1st time we met each other at the moberly toilet during CYA camp because she was wearing Pasir Ris pe shorts and brushing her teeth. Haha.

Saw Pasir Ris's top N' level pupil there and the administrative office clerk there too, with her son. Anyway, lunch was provided there. Went home, slept a while, then went out for dinner.

Still not sure whether going to the NUS open house tomorrow.

Thinking of changing blogskin soon.

chalet part 1

Just got back from the chalet. Dead tired now. I didn't stay there tonight.

Photos are all not taken by me. I think most photos were taken by either Celeste, Gil or Kuanling who are still there. I'll blog about it when I received the pictures.

*edit*

Finally did some blog-hopping and managed to obtain the chalet pictures from celeste's and johnson's blog.

The chalet. In some ulu place with stray dogs somemore.

The rooms.

Helping to wrap the corn and sweet potato (not sweet tapioca pamela). As you can see, Johnson's doing nothing.

The bonding game that Gil brought. Its called Sabotuer Kuenling, not supportor.

I want to see gold!

Celeste and Pamela.

Don't know how come Kelvin is forever the Sabotuer. Never been a good guy before.

Gil and Kuenling. Kuenling and Pamela forever blocking each other. Haha.

Taught Calista to play Bridge and they taught me how to play daiti. I keep getting pairs. Anyway, tried playing with Gil's super mini Mahjong tiles where 5 wan didi got split into 2. I won the 2 games that we played. Not bad, won $3. Then, the rest of them went to the guys room to watch Mirror and Pink Panther I think

Bowling

Next day I think, where I was at home already. This is Gil.

I will miss my classmates.

NSRCC

My fingers are aching now. My feet are aching now.

Just finshed washing, peeling, chopping many many water chestnuts. I didn't know there had to be so much hard work to skin water chestnuts. Blame it on myself who volunteered myself to spend my whole morning on water chestnuts.

Anyway, the past week has been quite fulfiling I guess. Since I have started duty on wednesday and its time I brush up my airport knowledge. Airline codes just cant seemed to get in my head. The first time I had duty, there were only like 7 airlines in T2, now its like twice the amount?

I had been to 2 bowling competitions too. The time standing during duty and at the bowling competitions really contributed to my aching feet. Maybe its because I haven't been exercising much. Its time I start using the treadmill in my living hall. It has become a white elephant.

Last night reached home around 11.20pm. NSRCC was competing with Warren golf and country club. The league was held at Warren last night. We were competing with them on their home ground. However, NSRCC's team bowled very well last night. Gina had like 6 strikes in a row with a score of 247 in one of the games. Shawn with 5 strikes in a row in 2 out of 3 games with scores 202, 201 and 230. Racheal was not bad either with all her frames filled with strikes and spares resulting in her average of 190++. Loke Chor did well in the 1st game but slacked a bit in the 2nd and 3rd game. I think Aunty Florence will keep this team and hope they can continue to thrash other clubs in the next few weeks.

Class chalet's tomorrow!!!

p.s. Congrats to Peckyi for getting a B in her A'level chinese. =)

bowling competition

Today went to witness Jonathan's bowling competition. Today was doubles. He didn't bowl well today I guess because of an incident that happened before Aunty Oon Soon came to fetch us.

Maybe he was too worried that his coach may scold him bah. 1st and 2nd games were at the same lanes with his primary schoolfriends, Jevin on the left and Ryan on the right I think. I realised one thing, Jevin's partner was Hubert whom I thought really looked like Fabian from CO. He totally looked like Fabian's twin. Forgot to take a photo of him.

I was standing the whole time there, hearing all the mothers talking, complaining, and comparing anything on under the sun from their son's results, diet and everything else. At least the mothers are there to entertain me.

Anyway, looking forward to class chalet. I haven't go papa's office to help yet!!! I was supposed to go today but overslept all because of Amanda's 成语 test. Had to give her 135 成语s and explain to her some of the meaning somemore. Super tiring.
